Privacy Policy – AlliReads
AlliReads is a reading and learning app for children aged 3 to 10, built for Indian families. The app and the website www.allireads.com (together, the "Services") are operated by Curious Minds.
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. The Services are meant to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian. By creating an account, you confirm that you are a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or older, and that you consent to us processing your child's information as described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us (parent or guardian)
- The mobile number you use to sign in with a one-time password (OTP)
- Your name , if you provide them
- Anything you send us when you contact support
Information about your child (provided by you)
- Your child's first name (optional) and age group
- Learning goals and daily reading plan preferences you choose during setup
Information collected automatically when the app is used
- Learning activity, such as stories read, quiz and worksheet progress, and time spent in the app
- Device information, such as device model, operating system, app version, and language settings.
- Crash reports and performance data
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and manage your account and sign you in
- Show age-appropriate stories, quizzes, flashcards, and worksheets, and remember your child's progress
- Personalise the reading plan and recommend content suited to your child's age and goals
- Process subscriptions, free trials, coupons, and physical book deliveries
- Send you service messages and reminders, such as reading streaks, trial status, and subscription updates. You can turn off push notifications in your device settings at any time.
- Provide customer support
- Fix bugs, improve the app, and understand which features families find useful
3. Children's privacy
We take children's privacy seriously.
- Accounts are created and controlled by a parent or guardian, not by the child.
- We collect only the minimum information about a child needed to provide the Services.
- We do not use a child's information for behavioural tracking or targeted advertising, and we do not sell children's data.
- Purchases in the app are meant to be made by a parent or guardian.
If you believe a child has used the Services without a parent's consent, contact us and we will delete that information.
4. How long we keep information
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information and your child's information within [30 days], except:
- Payment and transaction records, which we keep for up to [8 years] to meet tax and accounting laws
- Information we are legally required to keep, or need to resolve disputes
5. Deleting your account
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by following the steps at https://www.allireads.com/requestDeleteUser. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription purchased through Google Play or the App Store, so please cancel it from your store's subscription settings.
